Victorian Energy Upgrade Program (VEU)
On 31 May 2023, the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) will introduce new space heating and cooling upgrade options to the existing Victorian Energy Upgrades Program (VEU). This will include incentives for energy efficient reverse cycle air conditioners for households and businesses upgrading from:

ducted gas heaters

room gas heaters
-
hard-wired electric resistance room heaters
-
central electric resistance or ducted slab heaters
-
room reverse cycle air conditioners (non-ducted)
-
ducted reverse cycle air conditioners
When you upgrade certain inefficient heating and cooling products to a more energy efficient model, you may be eligible for rebates in the form of “Energy Credits/Certificates”. These certificates are a tradeable commodity and there are companies set up to trade in them.
Comfort Heating & Cooling are not ‘Energy Certificate’ traders but that does not mean you will miss out if we install an eligible product for you.

You assign your ‘certificates’ to an accredited provider

Accredited provider will pay you for them.
The accredited provider will tell you what products you are eligible to claim for and you complete their paperwork and submit through them to obtain rebate.
All dealings regarding the rebate will be between you and the accredited provider. There will be a section on their form that we will need to certify for you – which of course we are happy to do.
Not all consumers and systems are eligible for the scheme. You should seek advice from an accredited provider as to your eligibility.
